Your surgery is only the first step towards your recovery. You will normally will be given a post-operative rehabilitation program and the hospital will provide simple exercises to minimise complications, such as chest infection or blood clots. You may even be prescribed some early strengthening or range of motion exercises.
Once you are discharged, you’ll commonly require re-assessment and checking of your progress. Katie’s experience and expertise will ensure a successful post-operative recovery. She is familiar with the treatment protocols prescribed by most Orthopaedic Surgeons in Northern Ireland. Over the years she has built up relationships with the majority of consultants and surgeons in Northern Ireland. She will happily liaise with your doctor to determine any specific requirements based on your individual surgery.
